Meet Head Coach Duncan
Duncan brings elite competitive experience, technical discipline, and dedicated leadership to his role as Head Coach at The Rock Ninja Warrior Academy. A practitioner of ninja warrior for over eight years, Duncan began his journey at age 11 and has since established himself among the sport’s top athletes. His background in martial arts—holding a Black Belt in Taekwondo—and his ongoing practice with traditional weapons ground his coaching philosophy in focus, body awareness, and mental toughness.
Duncan’s athletic achievements span 10 World Championship competitions across major leagues like FINA and WNL, as well as top-tier appearances in Premier Series and NSC Amateur Finals. High-water marks in his career include 6th place in Endurance at the 2025 FINA World Championships (Young Adult), 6th overall at 2023 FINA Worlds, and an 18th overall finish at the 2025 WNL Worlds (Adult).
Beyond competition stats—like his 16-minute dead hang and 14-foot lache—Duncan is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of athletes, serving as a positive role model and supportive guide for students of all skill levels.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Florida, Duncan is actively pairing his business education with his passion for the sport to help lead, grow, and manage operations at The Rock. Outside the gym, he enjoys training, traveling, writing, and martial arts practice.
